Metal UNCHAINED!

Hey Hob Gobs,

I just got back from Texas! Last night was the Broads and Panties presents: Metal UNCHAINED show! I have been looking forward to this show for a while! Well, seeing how I LOVE the headliners a ridiculous amount I'm a little Biased. I felt completely honored to be a part of it, and that one of those ladies recommended me for the show! <3 It is always good seeing friends! I was so excited that I would get to see Kira again.. I never make it out to L.A, so I don't see her very often. I was so happy to be a part of this show, to work with such amazing people and perform for an awesome crowd! I got one of the best responses that I have ever had from a crowd, fans, and even my friends that attended!

Unfortunately, the day before the show I got dehydrated because my sleep schedule was off and I overslept... woke up at 3 in the morning to discover that I was pretty sure that I had a kidney infection. I went to the doctor and sure enough: kidney infection! So yesterday I had to run some last minute errands... with a fever from the infection, in 100+ degree weather, in an un air conditioned car. My senses were off and I drove very casually like a crazy lady... probably a combination between little food, meds, fever and the heat.. but I was so out of it. Got pulled over and yelled at by a cop...my husband was on the phone in the seat and heard the colorful words.. so awesome. It could have been the tearful anxiety driven reaction to the cop screaming at me, or the nipple slip that may have happened (it was a low cut shirt...it happens... seat belts, you know?).. but even after the crazy driving and such (probably could of had 5 tickets worth) he let me go. Scott free. Needless to say I sat there for a moment, completely perplexed.

Went home, finished packing, left for Texas early, got caught in horrible construction sites leaving town...plus someone rear ending a horse trailer and stopped traffic. We were at a standstill twice in our trip. We still made it to the show on time. Had plenty of time to settle everything. It was such an awesome, relaxed, and drama free show. I really had an amazing time. Although I was super sick, and my kidneys were screaming by the time my first number came up, I had so much fun! I danced to Motorhead and had such a great reaction! The rest of the show was awesome, I enjoyed every performer thoroughly, onstage and off(I won't lie, backstage burlesque antics are the BEST!) and was so happy to see them perform! Those are some amazing ladies! After the show we made rounds, mingled. I got to meet some Facebook friends and fans, which is something I always enjoy!

I just wanted to thank everyone who made this show happen, and for having me as a part of the show! And of course a BIG thank you for everyone who came out to support us, you were an awesome crowd! <3

Atlanta Trip

So, I just got back from a trip to Atlanta, Georgia. My friends Dynamite Dames and JJ DeVour had planned a road trip there for shoots and when some plans of theirs changed, they invited me the day before they were going to leave!

It was such a great opportunity, so great I couldn't refuse! JJ drove me to Texas to pick up Ms Dynamite Dames herself and then we headed to Alabama. We stopped at Sun Records and Graceland on the way! It was so fun! We ended up in Alabama at Cherry Dame's house well into the evening, showered and then passed out.

Woke up the next morning and shot with Dynamite Dames, Cherry Dame as MUAH, and JJ DeVour as my counterpart for some naughty photos! After the shoot we packed up and drove the last bit to out hotel in Atlanta. There was a Rockabilly show that night, so all of us went out and had a blast, but we didn't get back until muuuuch too late for the plans we had the next day! Unfortunately our hotel room was RIGHT above the dance club that was open until 2-3am so sleep was futile. It was so loud that you didn't miss a beat... and that our things rattled on the nightstand. :-/


JJ and I woke up early the next day to Billie Jo Garcia coming to our hotel to do our MUAH for our shoots with Dangerously Dolly! Figured out wardrobe and broke half of my nails before the shoot but I was so stoked. I really admired Ms Dolly before, but after meeting her, and working with her I absolutely adore her! Both her and Billie were fabulous! We shot in one of the coolest warehouses I have seen! I LOVE shooting at unique locations, and really would like to do that more!

Dynamite Dames and Cherry Dame shot their Atlanta bookings and JJ and I explored the stores in the area! We got some rad stuff and then met up with the ladies, and then had dinner before we left town. One veggie burger later we were on the road back to Texas.

It was a long grueling trip back, but we made it to Fort Worth, took a breather and then JJ and I headed back to Oklahoma. We met up with our mopey boys and hung out with them before Eddie and I drove back home late at night. It was a whirlwind trip, but it was an amazing experience.. and I thank everyone involved! So much!

We are already planning to return early 2011 and I would love to book some more shoots, and maybe a show while we'll be there!

THANK YOU for everyone that voted for me to help me win this shoot! I cannot thank everyone enough! It was so much fun! This shot was especially fun because it is poking fun at the fact that I cannot cook very well AND I got to play with fire!

Accepted!

Hello Boils and Ghouls!

I just found out that I was accepted into my first burlesque festival! Apparently there were a few delivery failures and I found out offhandedly that I had been accepted! I had decided to not even try to apply this year (Money, Hotel, Travel... etc ...and let's face it.. it's intimidating!) ..but on the last day to apply early I checked my paypal account and saw that I had 80 cents over the total application fee just begging to be used. I went for it and when my friends heard back, and I didn't hear anything... I figured I didn't get in!

I'm so incredibly excited for this experience! It will be the biggest show and crowd I will be performing so far! I'm so incredibly excited and extremely grateful for this experience!

SO please don't miss it! I'm performing Thursday April 22nd , 2010: Nouveau nuit! This whole show will be FANTASTIC!

Burlesque-A-Billy

This weekend was yet another fabulous one that led us to Dallas and back! We started out by seeing the midnight showing of Alice in Wonderland. Eddie and I dressed up and had such a blast. We left for Texas Saturday afternoon and just barely made it to the show on time!

The show was fantastic! It was the rockabilly themed show put on by Broads and Panties! There were awesome vendors and fantastic performers! There was a raffle to help out those affected by the Greenville fire, which was awesome of them to put on. I donated some prints, and was so glad that I could. I got to see some fantastic people again, and meet others for the first time! Eddie and I had such a blast! :-) I'm so proud of the show these ladies and gents put on for us!

After the show we went to a diner to fill up and had some fun. Even some of the most simple times spent with these people are so much fun! I cannot wait to come back for a visit.


Ha, I know, we get carried away with pictures, but last night was SO much fun!

This morning was my contest shoot with Dynamite Dames and Vintage Flair! The day that Eddie and I left...Eddie surprised me with an awesome prop for the shoot and this morning we came up with some fun ideas, I cannot wait to share them with you! It is always fabulous working with these ladies! If you ever get the chance to, DON'T PASS IT UP! <3

Now I'm at home in Oklahoma City and still reeling from the weekend. Thanks to all who made this weekend so fun!

Hello Hob-Gobs,

Well, tonight was the 7 Deadly Sin Revue's first 'monthly' show at the Prohibition Room of 2010! We had an awesome turnout and had quite a wonderful show!

My shoot with Dynamite Dames was this morning! I have been excited about this for months! I love hanging out with these ladies! The shoot was at my best friend's house so I was surrounded by awesome people that I love! I went down to her house to avoid the two hour drive this morning to make my appointment at 9AM! We stayed up until around one that then got up even earlier to get ready! It's so much fun working with these girls. I love their sets and their photos, their advice and guidance, and the fun environment they create! I still found myself awkward in front of the camera at first, but I DID get to chain my best friend(in lingerie) to a chair and whip her a little bit... can you say FUN?!

Today was also my bestie Sarah's birthday, so I'm so glad I could see her for that! I had to cut my visit short because I had a show in Oklahoma City.. and found out only a couple days before that my Mummy would be staying with me today aswell! After a wonderful day shooting we rushed home and met my Mummy for some dinner! It was surprisingly easy to convince my Mummy to come to the show, so tonight was her first burlesque show! Go Mummy! She was a bit out of her element, but had a fun time! I keep exposing her to crazy new things.. but she has supported me the whole time. I love my Mummy so very much!

My performances were mixed tonight. The routine I perform with Eddie Mercury went horribly. It was just an off night for that dance...because we have been kicking that routine's butt lately! My second routine went just the opposite! It was awesome! Thank you to everyone who made this day so amazing!
